Weeks to Bulger: ‘F— you’

Kevin Weeks is apparently still mad at James “Whitey” Bulger for allegedly being an informant and told his former mob associate “f— you” during an expletive-laced shouting match in court Tuesday.

The outbursts took place after Bulger lawyer J. W. Carney Jr., pressed Weeks during cross examination. He repeatedly asked Weeks if he beat the system and “won” because he was able to reach a plea deal with the government.

“It bothers me,” Weeks said. “Five people are dead … We killed people for being rats and I had the two biggest rats right next to me.”

At that point, Bulger, sitting just a few feet away from the witness stand where Weeks was sitting said something to Weeks.

“F— you,” Weeks angrily shot at Bulger.

“F— you,” Bulger said.

Judge Denise Casper then raised her voice to get both men to stop. She told Bulger that his lawyers would be the ones to speak for him in court. Bulger’s lawyers have repeatedly denied that the 83-year-old alleged mob boss was a FBI informant.

It was the second time Casper had to scold Bulger for speaking out in court after he called corrupt FBI agent John Morris “a f—— liar.”

Tuesday was Weeks’ second day on the witness stand during which he testified against a man he said he considered to be a big brother. Weeks recounted various alleged crimes he said he witnessed Bulger commit, including multiple murders.

Weeks became angry more than once during Carney’s cross examination of him. At one point, with Carney repeatedly questioning Weeks on the idea of him being a rat for testifying against Bulger, Weeks threatened Carney.

“Why don’t you call me it outside and we’ll see what happens,” Weeks said to Carney.

Weeks finished his testimony Tuesday and different witnesses will be called Wednesday.
